Project_2: "Document your generation"
OVERVIEW:
Each group was responsible for creating a short video that further describes our generation. There are many possible avenues to choose from. Two of the groups decided to go with technology, while the third chose fashion as the main basis for the video. The videos are simple, but they tell the story of a generation from a visual perspective.
Video 1:
Technology not only affects our lives, but it influences our lifestyle. Our video focuses on the fact that our generation has grown up in a digital world. We revolve our every day lives around technology because we have seen technology evolve. We (all of us) are now becoming one giant network, and so the importance of individuality has really been sprung into the spotlight for us. This is why it is so difficult to generalize people from our generation, because we are all trying to become unique in our own ways. One thing is for certain though… we all contribute to the digital age every day

Video 2 :
How do you define your generation? What does your generation mean to you? The videos were created to illustrate our generations’ interpretations of these questions. Video two is a film about a day in the life of our generation. How we’re branded as “consumed” by our technology; always online, always connected to the world digitally. The film demonstrates our generations’ ability to not disconnect, but reconnect to another aspect of our lives.
- Madison Odenborg, Zach Ellis, Sam Johnson, Sydney Melson

Video 3: Fashion as a part of our Generation
Our group decided to use fashion as our base root to better understand our generation. We’re all different in one way or another, and by asking questions that relate to clothes and fashion we wanted to find the similarities and differences between us all. Our hope is that you come away from this video thinking about what you wear and why you wear it.
