OVERVIEW: In our penultimate project the goal was to represent our earliest interaction with Nike, our present understanding of the brand, and what you hope and predict to see happen with the company in the future. We did this by creating a physical timeline on the wall. Individually we brought and explained 3-6 objects or pictures or concepts that we could place on the timeline. At the end of our presentation, we spent more time on the future section, where we explained some major themes we would like to see through after Wildcard is over. These themes include 1) put a face to the Nike brand, “show the people not the corporation” 2) make Nike’s philanthropic efforts more visible, without it coming off as a marketing scheme 3) continue to stick with classic styles and “vintage” ideas 4) go beyond Nike ID with customization and personalization 5) invest in a student campus representative program where Nike can continue to directly work with the younger generation and give a face to the corporation.
