I'm Laura, but you clicked on my name to get here, so you already knew that. But what you don't know is that I'm 19 years old, and I'm from Portland.
I lied. I'm not from Portland, I'm from Beaverton, a suburb of Portland, but I say I'm from Portland because it sounds cooler. Also because when people ask me 'what's it like in Beaverton', no one wants to hear 'it's like that town from Stepford Wives except the wives aren't as hot'. These are facts.
So we'll just say I grew up in Portland, save for a couple years when I did a quick stint in Japan with my family. Nope, I don't speak Japanese.
Anyway, fast-forward a few years through my life to high school, where I discovered I really liked art. I'll tell you that as we fast forwarded, we skipped the part where I got addicted to videogames and comic books, but that doesn't matter because that part was boring anyway (also, I never beat my addiction). I currently attend the University of Oregon where I am falling asleep in my classes to become a Digital Arts major, with which I hope to achieve some kind of job that gives me money for making cool things. Fun fact: I once considered becoming a math major before I realized that I can't math, and that I could never math, and that trying to get good at mathing was one of the most difficult things I could do. I also ruled out an English major because of my grammar not being so well.
I'm into music like most human beings, except I'll only listen to 70s and 80s rock music. I'm 19 on the outside, 50 on the inside, and every now and then I like to hope that I'll still be 19 on the outside when I'm actually 50 on the outside. But that's wishful thinking.
